Chorus Artistic Development WorkshopsJohn requested status regarding the “Era Blitz” period stage presence chorus workshop instructed by JoAnn Yeoman. Tom Wright reported that the locations, times and the order of the two city workshops have not been determined as of yet. John requested that this information be firmed up as soon as possible to ensure choristers receive timely information on the workshop.
Regarding the AGMA-AZ sponsored audition preparation workshop for choristers, John asked regarding the availability of Ashby Lohse Rehearsal Hall for the Tucson workshop. Tom Wright confirmed that the rehearsal hall would be available for the workshop. The dates for the workshop will be March 10 and 17, 2007 on two consecutive Saturdays in each of the two cities. Julian Reed, who is participating on the workshop panel, expressed a preference that the Tucson workshop be held March 17th.
Chorus Biennial AuditionsTom Wright reported that auditions for Small Roles for the 2007-2008 season would be held both in January 2007 and during April 2007 when the choristers are scheduled for their mandatory biennial auditions. Prelude Chorus auditions will also be held at the same time as the mandatory chorus auditions. No dates are available yet for the January 2007 Small Role auditions.
Chorus Bit Roles - 2006-2007 SeasonTom Wright confirmed that Chris Herrera will be cast in the role of Yakuside, a Chorus Bit role in Butterfly and there will be two chorus Bass men cast in Chorus Bit roles during Susannah.
